As a lifelong supporter of QPFC and the only schoolboy at Netherlee primary in the early 60s who wore the hoops shirt ,it was a thrill at my old age (63) to do the tour of Hampden a few weeks ago.
I have not lived in Scotland since 1977 so it was a pleasure to be accompanied by my English wife and an American friend of ours from Florida.
I just wanted to say that the lady taking the tour was terrific , even although she was a Blackburn supporter 🤣
Great rapport and very knowledgeable and obviously well trained.
It was a terrific day, the tour was very professional, museum was great and my day was made even more fulfilled by the fact that two ladies who have no interest in football were so impressed and enthused by the environment.
Congrats to all the organisers and management and the tour guide.
Great day and many thanks,
I am writing to say thank you very much to Jim Thomson for hosting a wonderful birthday party on Saturday 15th September. Of all the children’s birthday parties we have had over the years for our two boys this was by far the best yet. From my initial booking everything everyone involved was a real pleasure to deal with and delivered great polite and helpful customer service. The party was also great value for money.
Jim, clearly very experienced at hosting groups of young boys, was just amazing, taking the normal stresses of children’s parties away with his calm helpful manner. Both the children and the adults had a great experience and everyone came away having thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Jamie the birthday boy, said it was his best birthday yet.
Thank you very much to everyone involved and delivering great customer service. Not often experienced often these days. I would certainly recommend these parties to friends.
“Have lived in the area for 13 years!
Never visited the Stadium until today due to an appointment at the Sports Clinic. Stadium Tour – First class.
Bruce is an asset to your company. Great delivery, entertaining & child centred.
“On Saturday, 28th February, around 11am, we had the greatest of pleasure visiting the Scottish Football Museum for the first time. It was absolutely fantastic, very informative, well presented, and cannot wait to make a return visit. However, we could not fail to be impressed by your very attentive, efficient and friendly staff.
From the young chap on Reception to the other two members of staff, whom, unfortunately, we did not get their names, they could not have been more pleasant. We were approached by one of them in particular and asked what our interests/background were and he informed us that he and his colleague would be available at any time if we required further information on the way round. He asked if my partner, Robert, had played football, which he had, and as we were nearing the end of the tour his colleague, beckoned Robert to come over to the library area, to look at a ledger entry where his name was handwritten in a registration document for a junior Club in the seventies. He was more than delighted and amazed by this kind gesture and for the staff to go out of their way to make our visit even more pleasurable is astounding.
To have these chaps go above and beyond the call of duty is so refreshing and I have to say we arrived as visitors but felt we parted as good friends. We did not do the full tour of Hampden as Robert’s mobility is not great but after Robert asked one of them if we would see the park, the very kind and knowledgeable staff member offered to take us out to the park for five minutes just to get the sensation of Hampden which, to my great surprise, filled me with a very powerful emotion, which even surprised myself! (Now cannot wait to go to a Scotland Game at Hampden)!
I have to say that in this day and age customer care does not always shine through but I have to say it was exemplary and sincerely hope that those responsible for the management of the Museum are all aware of what a great job is being done on their behalf by their outstanding team.
Thank you one & all for such a great experience which will never be forgotten.”
Ailsa & Robert
I visited today, 18th Feb, with my 12 year old son. We are visiting from Liverpool.
I just wanted to thank everybody that we saw today.
The young guy on the reception desk when we arrived at just after 10am was very friendly and helpful. We had a good chat with him for 10 minutes before we went into the Museum, we were made to feel very welcome about where we came from and why we were here.
The Museum itself was really enjoyed.
The tour was very good, and our tour guide, Pat, was very entertaining and knowledgeable, and his jokes (even at the expense of us English!) kept us all entertained.
All in all we had a very enjoyable morning with you, and we will hopefully return at some stage in the future.
Please pass out thanks on to all the staff.
I arrived at Hampden for the experience on Monday 26th January.
The Museum is fantastic and full of wonderful memories. However what I want to comment on is my tour of the Stadium.
It transpired that I was the only person on the 12:30pm tour. It was a fantastic experience due to Jim, the tour guide. He treated me regally, full of knowledge and excellent at his job.
Well done Jim, thank you for the experience.
I just wanted to take to opportunity to thank you for the amazing time my son Aaron had yesterday at Hampden.
I myself did not have the chance to go, boys only!!, But my husband said everyone commented on how brilliant the set up was. He also wanted to pass particular thanks to Stewart who took them round, he was really engaging with the kids and very knowledgeable and we just want to thank him again for making Aaron’s day so enjoyable.
When phoning for information the receptionist Louise was very pleasant and helpful. She then phoned us back as promised with the relevant information to our trip. She was of great help. The tour of the Stadium was good and we would definitely return.
Terrific tour by Sandy and a great Museum.
Fantastic Experience for all the family will definitely recommend The Hampden Experience to friends and family.
